Coast & Castle

We managed a walk along the beach this morning, with this view of the ancient castle and more modern church hugging the shoreline and the Turkish coast in the distance.

We stopped at a beach bar and watched the world go by then it was back to the pool where I spent a large part of the rest of the day vicariously walking the northern section of the English South West Coastal Path in the company of the poet Simon Armitage and his book Walking Away.

We've really done very little other than relax on this holiday, which is very unusual for us as we normally get around and do a fair bit of sightseeing but, after a pretty hectic few weeks, we've both been happy to enjoy the rest and the sun.
