Sunday: Inspecting The Troops

I attended another Battle of Britain commemoration event today (having been at one last Sunday too). I am not quite sure why there are two but today's was out at Boundary Bay airport in Delta. It's about twenty minutes south of Vancouver. Bizarrely, as I was approaching it the navigation system warmly welcomed me to the USA. Onthe way back it welcomed me to Canada. Luckily there weren't any actual border crossings as I didn't have my passport with me........

At today's event I was asked to take part in reviewing the troops. I had no idea what I was looking for - possibly smudged boots or unpolished buttons - but it was an interesting exercise. The troops were actually cadets (aged 12 and upwards) - some of them were so small........
