Impossible Blippers!
The trouble with blippers is that when they get together, they don't stop talking and laughing and also, unsurprisingly, blipping, so it's nigh on impossible to gather them and their partners together for a group blip! Trevorearthy did his best to corral us but there was always someone wandering off or someone taking the blip or someone missing so hopefully the kind woman minding her own business by the lake who agreed to use rainie's camera to blip us, will have everyone!
So my blip is a sort of selection of folks who arrived at Fellfoot at the southern end of Windermere today to meet up with rainie and Doug who are presently touring the northern half of the country. They very kindly invited us to stay on our NZ adventure earlier in the year so it was very lovely to see them again and catch up with their adventures.
It was also great to catch up with blippers I already knew and to make new blipfriends. Viking aka Kiwilizzie invited us for Yorkshire Tea when we were passing through to Christchurch back in March and it was brilliant to see her again and to meet her sister (Aragon69). PaulaJ and hubby High Pike organised the meet (thank you both!) and are friends of old. We regularly exchange postcards with Blippals Trevorearthy and biblinros so there was more catching up to do there. Then there were the new folks to meet: Hildasrose and Rob; Viewpoint and Ann; Sheilwill and Willwynbedw, phew!
We relaxed and chatted over coffee and bacon butties and brownie and stuff then took a wander along the lakeside at Fellfoot before folks went their separate ways. Tony and I walked up to Gummers How to take in the views before heading home. A smashing morning spent with smashing people. More disorganised blips of blippers and views from Gummers How here!
