Lake District

Well, what a wonderful, exciting (and very hot) day.

A leisurely start to our day - Gordon produced a wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs with salmon, was it ever delish!!

Then away we went, first port of call to clickychick at her wonderful studio - this lovely lady is very talented.  Really enjoyed meeting her and seeing her wonderful photography.

Then off to a  Lanercost Priory where we sat outside (yes warm) and enjoyed chatter and a lovely lunch.  A real treat. And another scarf to add to the collection!!

Next off to Hadrian's Wall - a leisurely walk through the fields to the remains of the settlement and seeing the wall was a real treat.  Taking the scenic route back was lovely although the haze hung about sadly.  Still we really enjoyed the day.  Thank you Paula & Gordon (see extra) for your hospitality, friendship and tour guides skills.  Doug & I appreciate you giving up your day for us. xx

We are now at Keswick, and just caught the magical light as the sun was setting.
