Juvenile Bullfinch

There were two Juvenile Bullfinch on the feeder this morning, good to see that the parents are breeding. 

It is a lovely day today.

Early last evening we had very heavy rain it was like a monsoon, all around the bungalow was flooded, the water was coming up through the drains, when we went in to our bedroom, it was flooded with water that had come up through the drain in the wet room, we moped it up as best we could, I manage to clean the wet room, with bleach and disinfectant, because it is the only bathroom we have at the moment, as we are in the middle of having the main bathroom changed and have had walls knocked down between the toilet and bathroom.  I then made up the bed in the spare room, that room is full of hall furniture and all the stuff from the airing cupboard. We went to bed at 10.00pm and about 3.00am the storm started again with even more lighting and thunder which was constant, fortunately not so much rain this time. This morning I phoned the insurance co. they have put it in the hands of a loss adjuster, who should contact us in the next few hours.

We feel very fortunate as looking at the BBC news report there were lots of people that were much worse than us, completely flooded out
