Hidden corner.
The photo isn't symbolic of the horrors of 9/11, I just happened to be a wandering around Mile End Cemetery Park on sunday. Its crazy, for twenty two years I've lived ten minutes walk from this place and only dipped my toe in it once, and never actually visited properly and walked around.
It was one of the big victorian cemeteries of London, only instead of being for the toffs and monied, it was for the ordinary poor folk of the East End. It's a wonderful temporary escape to the countryside, only surrounded by worn out graves, the stones crumbling and fallen and the occupants long since forgotten.
Could have done with a few more benches for quiet contemplation though.
