Mc Dehli

Lovely morning in the mad metropolis that is Dehli spent mostly sightseeing at the Red Fort. We even managed to board the very shiny and efficient metro which gave us a lovely chance to avoid the hawkers/tut tut touts. Lunch was very nice indeed as we had some lovely Thali in Halidram?s. This seems to be a very established chain that serves lovely food at Indian prices, the sweets hall downstairs was a sight to be seen with an amazing selection of mega-sugary loaded delights.

We had a quick wiz around the Jama Masjid mosque which had some ridiculous tourist taxes in effect but some stunning views from the southern minaret. We then checked out of the palatial Imperial and got in our guide car to Agra. The journey there was long, turbulent and peppered with near-death experiences?but we made it in the end.

Checked into the trendy Hoxton-like Trident Hotel and had an average buffet experience!
