The Day the Rains Came and Came and Came...

I have been dutiful to BarrioBunny's request to not ruin a good image with inane (although he does admit, it is sometimes amusing) verbiage for the last few days. (Instead I have been abusing two new discoveries that the Dowager Empress Kendall demanded I patronize.) Anyway, I was going to go out tonight to photograph the approaching storms in the luminance of the golden hour PaulFS does with great authority. But tough shit - this is what you get BECAUSE I didn't get back out the doorway (a doorway, I might add, stuffed with on-rushing Sidd and Mirl fur as they both simultaneously flashed past me desperately seeking shelter from the storm. You know pusses don't like no water particularly when its got electricity in it and can blow you over. In the bowl beside dishes of tuna - fine, but this way --- NOOOOOOOO WAY!!!!) The APPROACHING storm was no longer approaching. It had approached in the past tense. The approachment was denouement. So you get, instead, the forest and deluge through the studio window. The subtlest of HDR was used here (I had nothing to do with it this time. This is the merge made by the 5D before I got to it) allowing streaky wonderfulness reminiscent of Nanga watercolors. Bravo Canon technology. All I get to do is press the shutter. Soon I will just be the pack animal that carries the camera to where it tells me to go.
