Mother India

Tonight Mr J & I came full circle as we dined in Mother India - an Edinburgh Institution.

This was the restaurant we first dined at 5 years ago when we came to look for a place to live. That evening is still vivid in my memory like it was yesterday. It was a cold dark Monday night in January & the place was packed even though it was only 7pm - we knew then we had it on something good.

Since that day we've had numerous other fabulous times here with friends we've made along the way.

Tonight I was privileged that 3 of my Edi bestie's (Karen, Alicia & Jane) along with Michael were able to join us for a final farewell & raise another toast to this Bonnie city & all the good times we had.

& Nicci another bestie who goes way back before Edi but now lives here too, who I had a cheeky cup of Earl Grey with at Harvey Nichs earlier in the day - well I was doing dry September!
