Alley Hall Plant Fair

A short trip to Arley this afternoon - I noticed in Warrington library yesterday that there was a plant fair on Sunday, and as we have quite a bit to do at home today, but it is a lovely sunny day, that seemed like a good compromise.

Arley is one of my favourite local places, and it looked gorgeous in the sunshine. So a few photos. The main blip - and one of the extras - are seed heads, I liked their structure. Another extra is a tortoiseshell butterfly. I have seen very few butterflies this year, but Arley Hall Gardens seems to be a kind of insect heaven. And a last extra of nasturtiums in the vegetable garden - always cheery somehow.
