NATURE in the "ROAR" ...

... on The Wilderness Pond in Christchurch Park.

I hope you will forgive my exaggeration (and the pun! )  but that was the title that came to me when I saw the thumbnail on my screen.

I was delighted to get two entirely different kinds of wildlife in a single shot. The cormorant (one of three resident here) has featured in several of my pictures but its companion on this occasion - a turtle - is something I have never seen here before. It was the fact that they were sharing a log that activated my trigger finger, plus the impression that the pool was inhabited by more fearful swamp life, and the one on the right was steaming at full speed towards them!

But whateverrr . . . it made a nice picture to celebrate my temporary escape to freedom, thanks to my neighbour who once again kindly escorted me to Ipswich on the bus.
