Rainy day people

G was golfing off island so I thought it would be a good day for me to go into Victoria to stock up on a few things.  Not a good idea.  The traffic was horrendous, and I inched along for over an hour to cover less than 3 Km.  One of the major roads is closed for widening.  I sympathize with commuters who have no choice but to use the main highway and get stuck like this every day.  I was looking forward to a bit of a browse and maybe a tasty brunch in a nice restaurant, but instead all I had time for was a quick sandwich from Thrifty's deli when I finished picking up some groceries, scarfed  in the ferry lineup with a coffee from the "cafe" at the terminal.  It was so good to leave the hustle and bustle and get back home to our peaceful place.  A pretty long day too, left home at 7:05 and got back at 3:55.
It was raining and in the morning, I took this shot from the car on the ferry as three people walked by.  Lucky they were wearing colourful jackets.  I didn't get a chance to take any city shots.  I was watching for Columns for the weekly challenge but didn't see any.
