A change in the seasons

This morning, it definitely felt like autumn is on its way.  I had a brisk walk, encouraged by the cool breeze, and I wished I'd remembered to bring my gloves.  I'll have to dig them out of the drawer and put them in my camera bag.
There's a little block building with two toilets at Drummond Park.  This is the skylight on the roof.  Many of the maple leaves have turned because of summer drought conditions, but others are now turning because of the time of year.
As I type, G is up on the roof cleaning leaves out of the gutters .  He just appeared by the window and "BOO!"ed me.  Lucky I heard him coming.  The desktop is upstairs, perfect for watching over the garden.  After I got home from walking, I picked the last few green beans, only enough to add to tonight's salad, and pulled the plants.  In another few weeks, the two beds of carrots and beets will be emptied and the beds prepared for planting garlic.  It always looks so different when all the veggies are picked.
