Revelation

A tour in a tractor and trailer around the Chatsworth gardens during a break, and this was my favourite sculpture. Entitled Revelation, it was commissioned by the Duke, created by Angela Conner. The fountain is housed in the central golden gloves and as the water spurts it fills into the surrounding petals which as the weight increases, opens the petals to reveal the globe. The whole thing then reverses and the petals close up. Huge and magnificent, I managed only a shot between the trees.

I did get a ,couple more decent photos, but am unable to 'add extras' for some reason.

Meetings, lunch, more meetings and finally arrived home at 6:30. I'm not sure how much I get from these sojourns these days But needs must!
