Skull
Today's theme: Something you drew
I haven't drawn anything of much for a long time. Really I'm a science girl at heart. Arty things seem to be more a hobby for me, I've tried my hand at lots of things, dried flowers, quilling, jewellery making, baking/cooking, cake decoration, web page design, card making, etc etc and now I suppose you could add in photography now I'm on blip. But I seem to fall into the category of 'Jack of all trades, master of none'
I disliked my Art teacher at school, no matter what I did he never liked anything I drew/painted/created. So when it came to choosing subjects in third year I didn't choose Art.
Come 5th year I had space in my timetable and opted to do a short course in Photography and Ceramics which I LOVED!
The photography side of it involved going out and taking photos, learning how the camera worked and we got to develop our photos in the dark room too (great fun!) and then using our photos to make a picture.
I had a different teacher for this course who, throughout the year, kept saying to me 'you should've taken Art for Standard Grade'
So, this is a picture I drew a long time ago, it is dated 1998 and signed with my maiden name, so done before I was married! It is picture of a skull ornament that I bought my husband not long after we met. The skull isn't actually his cup of tea lol but young love and all that. He still has it; it currently acts as a bookend at the top of one of our bookshelves.
