Fay's Photo Challenge

Brendan's favourite socks

Today's theme is: Orange

Now I was originally thinking that I should've done some swapping of themes so I could do the orange curtains that were in the wigwam on holiday (they were well cool, so cool I took a photo of them!) But I stuck to the list as planned so today is orange.

Not much orange things in my house and could see nothing in town that was orange aside from some nice orange flowers in Markies.

Came home and went into the fridge to get milk for my cup of tea and found we had half an orange pepper in there and took some shots of it. They were quite good.

But I'm finding as I'm doing the challenge, that I like to take photos of things that have a bit of a story with them. So whilst today's photo isn't a great arty, excellent shot, it does have a story attached to it.

This photo is of a pair of socks.
One day I was on Facebook and Innocent Smoothie were running a competition to win 'a small gift'. It didn't say what the gift was, but considering my son likes Innocent Smoothies I thought it was worthwhile to enter.

Weeks passed and then out of the blue a package arrived. Having forgotten about entering the competition, I had no idea what it could be.

Opened up the package to find a pair of BRIGHT orange socks!

My son came home from school and immediately claimed these socks. He is only ten and I think these socks are adult size cause they go right up to his knees! :D
Unfortunately on school photo day, I didn't think to check what socks he was wearing, usually they only get photographed head and shoulders style

Home comes the proof of the photo. The photographer had a new assistant who had a different way of doing things and all the kids had to take their shoes off to stand on a white sheet.
And what socks did my son have on? Yep these BRIGHT orange ones :D :D :D :D
