St Bartholomew

A very quick blip and I'm not even sure this is the best photo I took today as the wifi here is non existent and I am having to do the blip from my phone.

At Chatsworth for the annual Treasure Houses forum and when we arrived got a quick tour of the house. I have been her a few years ago with Mr L and this statue in the Chapel is my favourite thing. So controversial but beautiful, it is a Damien Hirst statue of St Batholomew who was skinned alive for his faith. It shows the Skelton with his skin held aloof over his arm. Magnificent.

Meeting today that took longer than it should, hope we get it all in tomorrow for an early start home!
