Girl Child Tsala Nkhoma

This is Tsala Nknoma. She is 14 and just finished Form 1. She attends Nkhorongo Secondary School, which is a 90 minute walk from her home. She has 1 brother and 1 sister and walks for about 90 minutes to school.
 
She lives with both parents. Due to the family's poverty she was chased 
from school for not paying fees and as they are farmers who don't want
to sell a little to fund fees for her because they are afraid of hunger,
unless they did piece works like making ridges for another farmer in 
order to find money for the needs. Without our support Tasala will stay at home.

In Term 1 she was 41st out of a class of 56, and even though her results dropped she moved to 38th place in Term 2.

She works hard and does her best and we are happy with this for a start
