Crystal Crescent Beach

Another glorious day so we packed up our stuff and headed out to this spot.    We started off the hike along the beach and saw that some folks had found their way out to the amazing rocks - i think we missed the 'real' well traveled paths cos we ended up having to fight our way thro some very thorny under bush!   lots of rocks to content with too!   I don't have much confidence in my knees these days...such a drag.....but i took it slowly and we found our way down to the shoreline. That was pretty awesome!  After another attempt at trying to find our way back to the proper trail, we ended up having to clamber over a large rocky section of the shoreline.  I was very apprehensive....doing that kind of bolder dance is not as easy as it once was!!!!   but i managed to do it with some dignity!

That hike was almost 2 hours so now we were ready for lunch.  Headed back thro the outskirts of Halifax, found a little Chinese place and had lunch.

The drive home was interesting....we tried to find a beach that would be accessible on our way home....we were unsuccessful on the first attempt...couldn't find a way off the highway to the road we needed to access.....sometimes the maps etc on our devises are just not adequate!   Pretty frustrating, but we persevered....found our way down to a quiet spot - kinda rocky but we found a log, had a seat, a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers!   It served the purpose of breaking up the long drive home.  

Arrived home around 8.30 pm, and as always....it was good to get home!
