Lost in Longden

Today my morning mindless scroll through facebook reminded me that there is now only six weeks to go until the Birmingham Half Marathon, which I am currently not even slightly ready for. I could no longer stay in bed after that and headed out for a run. I ran past Helen so it looks like she might have got the same memo.

Home to shower and pack a lunch before heading out to Lyth Hill, this time with the intention of not getting lost. It was a beautiful walk but, alas, we did not succeed in our intention. We should  have ended up walking to Longden, but didn't. It doesn't really help when the instructions in your book are along the lines of 'pass two oak trees' and 'take the path going obliquely right'. I don't even know what obliquely means and we were too far into the countryside for me to even google it.

(This, by the way, is the same book of walks which sproutlover referred to on Monday after getting lost in Ludlow)

The party sign was on the door of an old Primitive Methodist Church. I think churches should throw more parties.

Now my legs are tired. Thank goodness that Sunday night is curry night.
