Today I woke at 6.30, which is nothing unusual in itself, but I woke up still tired, which is highly unusual indeed. The problem with being an early riser is that sleeping in is flipping hard work (Bulliblips, I envy your household's sleeping habits). Anyway, all of that to say, I put everything into it and I managed to sleep again until 8.30. Unheard of. That exceptionally long lie-in meant for a later than normal breakfast which meant that I didn't have much of an appetite for lunch with ma and pa. Nobody tells you about these downsides of sleeping in. Anyway, that really is enough about my sleeping habits.

This afternoon we went to view a few houses and spent a long time discussing the pros and cons of new builds vs old houses. The entire debate boils down to head vs heart, essentially. With all that thinking, we needed a drink and headed to one of my (for now) locals. Dad was mostly mesmerised by the cocktail making process. He probably needs to watch a few more Tom Cruise movies. Oh, and if anyone has any idea what dad has just discovered on mum's phone, please feel free to speculate.

An evening at a local Church listening to some incredible Zambians who had come to share about their work in Kitwe. It's funny how small the world is. There was another Zambian girl there tonight (it was like 'bring an African' night) who now lives in Telford and I was explaining where I used to live in Ndola. Turns out she knows the people I used to live with and had some mutual friends in common!
