2016 Friday -- Bicycling the Beach

At the start of this 3-day Labor Day holiday weekend, the activity on the shoreline was fun to watch. We viewed several bicyclists, and pups were every where having fun.

Our three pooches just about had a fit before we finally arrived at the shore because we stopped at the thrift shop (I purchased a brand new pair of Isotoner slippers for $2.00!). Then we stopped at "The Pieman Bakery & Deli" and they still had a grand selection of cookies, so we each got 3 chocolate chip cookies for our afternoon snack, and then to the library, which is a favorite place.

Finally we headed to the 21st Street public access to the beach. There was an eruption of barking and whining and wagging tails. We walked and walked north toward the pier, but did not go quite that far when we turned and walked back to the car. It was such a wonderful late afternoon adventure.

Then back to the lavender house to watch the day transform into night -- just spectacular!
