Oh Canada!

Happy September, though I'm not happy it's September already.  I much prefer July, but making the best of it with a little adventure.  Jon and I drove to Quebec today (about a 6 hour trip) to get away and celebrate our 44th anniversary!  Can't imagine how that many Septembers have come and gone with this person, but really it's been one amazing adventure.

The city is beautiful from what we've seen so far.  The architecture so interesting - old, quaint, completely charming.  We're staying in an Air BnB and the host has given us the whole upstairs as there are no other guests - only one thing he neglected to mention - there's major reconstruction going on in the street just outside the house - I mean jack hammers and heavy equipment.   We can't drive up to the house, so he met us down the hill on a bicycle and the fork lift operator took our luggage!!  He said they start work at 6:30 a.m. and stop at 18:30. Good thing we are early risers.  He'll cook us breakfast and we will be off on our way for the day.  It's a walking city so there'll be little need of a car - just have to find a good spot to leave it.

A couple more in extras - the night one is the view outside our window when the heavy equipment guys are gone.
