Orchid

This is by way of being a record shot.  I always mean to record when an orchid starts to flower so that I know how long it has been in flower.  I never have until today.  This flower is on its first day fully open and is the first on the spike..

It has been a good year for Orchids (well for me anyway).  I had 5 flower spikes on 3 plants.  This plant dropped it last flower only a week ago and has 2 spikes.  The other plant that has already had 2 spikes has another 2 almost ready to open.
