So what is in a Jackdaw's nest? In this one there's twigs, wool, hair, cigarette butts, cardboard, plastic, paper, insulation, hardboard, moss, feathers, bark, leaves, soil and a number of unrecognised items. I won't mention some of the findings. Now that the youngsters have flown the nest we can start to clear away.

Jackdaws form strong pair bonds with their mates and are renowned for their devotion towards their partner.
They are sociable creatures. As well as breeding in colonies, jackdaws also roost and feed together.
Their diet is largely composed of seeds, fruit and invertebrates mixed with a side order of road-kill and other birds’ eggs.
