Helping Grandy!
Did I mention we have Emily with us for a few days......? ;-)
Picked her up this morning from daughters.
She has brought some of her birthday gifts with her to play with, including an exorbitant build a bear, called Stella, who has matching pjs with Emily ;-)
We made a quick stop at Lidl for one or two bits and pieces, hub got himself a bar of dark chocolate with salted caramel...you'll recall the one ;-)
We were thinking of going out for the day as the weather was bright and warm, but once back home Emily seemed content to play around, reading, watching TV, building a den in the bedroom, using all the pillows from the various rooms , so we decided to stay put. Both hub and I are feeling a little under the weather today so we were happy too. Emily has a good appetite and had cottage pie for her lunch.
She goes to gymnastics on a Tuesday evening, so once we had dropped her off, we went for a coffee to pass an hour until it was time to collect her again.
Once home she was keen to help "Grandy" water the tubs and baskets whilst I was making her a sausage sandwich for her tea.
She asked if she could have a piece of grandads chocolate after her sandwich, so I said she would have to ask him ;-) of course he said yes, so,I went to the cupboard to get some, it was t where it usually is. I asked hub, he hadn't put it away, neither had I. On checking the receipt it wasn't on there :-(
Hub is destined not to have this chocolate... the same thing happened last time I bought him some :-/ Emily wasn't too disappointed, she had a packet of crisps instead!
We are now comfy on the sofa watching a Tinker Belle movie before bed :-) The grown up programmes are being recorded for later on ;-)
