Looking towards Whipsnade Zoo
A bit of a lazy start for me and so after lunch we decided to head for the hills. Calling at County Hall en-route we headed for Ivinghoe Beacon.

We weren't very hopeful about being able to park when we got there but it was such a glorious day & not too hot. Well we did manage to park, and in line with current advice received from both Carol & Mambo we only walked half way up the beacon. It would probably have done me in to get to the top but half way was ok today. There were lots of people walking dogs, flying model aircraft & drones & generally having a good time. Such a chrystal clear day too with long views in almost every direction.
Home then after a Mr Whippy in the car park - yummy !
Dinner was a joint effort I scrubbed the spuds & C did the rest - lovely to eat outside yet again.
a lovely warm sunny day.
A bad thing happened today; the house opposite us is rented & the folk who have lived there 2 or so years moved out today. They left a bicycle propped against the front fence whilst they were inside & someone pinched it in broad daylight. It left the whole street in a state of shock !
RIP Gene Wilder
