Pink flower
Monday
A beautiful day today - lower temperatures, lower humidity and clear blue skies - so I went walking late morning at Sharon Woods. I walked through the gorge first, where there was barely a trickle of water flowing over the waterfalls, and the stream was more a collection of pools, rather than flowing water - we are about 6 inches behind on rainfall for the year. They had forecast rain for yesterday, but one system went to our north, and another to our south, and we got no more than a sprinkle! The lake was quite a popular place - several people out on pedal boats, a few fishermen and quite a number of walkers. I was tossing up for my blip between this pink flower - can anyone tell me what it is? - or a young wood duck. I finally went with the flower as I wasn't satisfied with the focus on the wood duck. Hope you like it!
