Early Bird

As I began my daily routine with my Garden Bird Watch - I was aware, whilst setting the timer that it had gone very quiet. I don't know if this Sparrowhawk had had a failed attempt at a capture, but it stayed just long enough for me to grab by camera and get a quick shot through the kitchen window. before it disappeared into the trees. About  15 minutes later, it was as if someone had sounded the all clear, and the garden was full of the clamour of House Sparrows, Starlings, Blue Tits and Dunnocks.
