No Sign Of Life

There has been a noticeable absence of wildlife lately.  I'm wondering if it isn't because of the heat even though today was a lot cooler.  A few birds stopped by but the ducks and geese are elsewhere except for one goose who hangs out near my apartment.  Every time I open the door he/she comes running.  If I lived all by myself I wouldn't worry but I'm in an apartment complex and feeding geese is frowned upon by the management.  It's hard to make a goose understand the rules so I just have to hope he/she will find something better to do and wander off.
