Lamb National

In Malham for a mountain bike orienteering event. Superb scenery and near perfect weather for riding.

After four hours in the saddle we had free entry to Malham Show. Unfortunately energy levels were low so I did not explore too far. However I did manage to observe the fun and games at the Lamb National. This is the bit where the sheep having started decided to turn turtle and return to the start. This was due to seeing the sheepdog in the inner circle. The dog was meant to be running behind them to encourage them round. After the dog had been picked up and placed in the correct position they set off again. As you can see this was a popular event with the spectators.
