Taking it to....

.... the extreme.

A restaurant I frequent about every 6 weeks burnt down yesterday, this is only a few miles away from my house and caused me a huge diversion on my commute last night. This morning the road had been re-opened so I stopped to take a look. The fire investigators were there and a hand full of fire fighters (see Extra) keeping an eye on the unstable property.

The fire was raging from about 2:00am and still burning midday yesterday. By the sounds of it West Midlands Fire Crews did a great job of protecting the surrounding buildings and the hotel attached to it. Luckily no injuries were sustained in the event.

I do hope the restaurant can get back up on it's feet as soon as possible as it was rather popular. The venue itself has a great comedy history with Frank Carson and Bob Monkhouse playing there.
