Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly on Coneflower

Purple flowers were the key for locating monarchs and swallowtails this afternoon. As I walked along the park path I looked for purple thistles, purple clover, and purple coneflowers.

I've returned to the same area the past three days hoping to get a photo of another butterfly species on the exact same flower as the blip on the day before. Has not happened yet!
