Tiny Tuesday .....

As this is the tinest bird known to man it's was very fortuitous that I was in the back yard photographing the bees when she zoomed in to feed!

The smallest hummingbird is the 5 cm bee hummingbird that weighs less than a US penny!  My picture is of a female Ruby-throated hummingbird.  They are on average 3 1/2 inches and have an average weight of 1/8 ounce!  Truly, truly tiny!
