Fuzzy Hat ......

This past Friday I went to a park that I had recently read about.  I was hoping to see some red squirrels ...... or any squirrel really.

But that was not meant to be.

I did see several different bird species though.  And there is nice little pond with a gazebo. Ringing the pond are these cattails ..... with their fuzzy "hats"! 

Today R and I went back so that we could explore the walking trails more than I was comfortable doing on my own on Friday.  The park is very nice and we may go back during the fall migration as I read that it is good place for observing many migrating birds.   

We shall see ....
