Bagnols-les-Bains to La Fage 15km; 600m ascent

Up at 6 am  to get dropped of by H&J at Bagnols-les-Bains. A gentle enough day up some wooded valleys onto and over the lower reaches of Mont Lozere assisted by a generous pate aux girolles sandwich.
A little wager was had between us on the number of walkers we would encounter and I got annihilated - we saw one solitary walker picking what looked like some pretty worm infested mushrooms all day. We were however clearly on a VTT course and must have seen a hundred cyclists.
The winner of the bet got to chose where we eat tomorrow. It wouldn't have been much of a win tonight as there was nowhere in La Fage to get or eat anything. As you can see it is a pretty enough little, little being the word, place with a Gite D'Etape where you can camp in a field nearby - extra photo attached - but use the facilities.
Some very ordinary risotto we carried in was very ordinary even with added saucisse and onion - which shows how bad it must have been as normally stuff tastes good after a day's walking.
