Hiking the Elendsklamm
A little hike today with two friends and two dogs.
It was again a very hot day, but much cooler under the trees.
The actual hike was only 90 minutes, but it took us 6 hours to get to the Elendsklamm and from there to the Fritz-Claus-Hütte (one of the common hiking huts in our area) and back.
My new hiking app was very helpful - so many little paths to get lost at.
In the photo we are crossing the Elendsklamm (a ravine) on a little bridge.
To anybody interested in yesterdays snake blip:
I asked the experts and was told I came across a Coronella austriaca (commonly know as a smooth snake, in German Schlingnatter). Never heard of it, but sure looks like one now that I know it.
