The Red Crested Cockerel

A fitting photo for the final day of our holiday. We enjoyed a visit to the Marechal Carmona Park where we were serenaded by the numerous cockerels to be found wandering around particularly in the areas where there was food! The red crested rooster, Galo de Barcelos, is a very famous symbol found throughout Portugal.
