Ducks in the Desert

....and by golly,  I found them.   I have been going through a bit of wildlife withdrawal so did some research and found that the Flamingo Casino has a lagoon with a large variety of ducks, some Chilean Flamingos, and a Pelican.  The Wood Ducks are favorites of mine and so I spent a lot of time following this fellow around.  He wasn't very cooperative and kept his distance which caused me problems because I only had my 24-240 mm lens with me. While I darted around the lagoon in the 100 degree heat, slipping in between the tourists taking their phone selfies, this fellow showed us how to really beat the heat. 

Tomorrow I have an early flight home.  My mission here has been accomplished.
