An unusual visitor
A day of high winds and scattered showers, which meant I actually managed to get two reports finished! In the drier spells I interspersed my writing with a bit of gardening, as I try not to sit at the computer for too long at a time. On one of my forays I spotted this common blue butterfly sheltering in one of our sunflowers and managed to get a couple of shots before it was whisked away. I'm not sure whether it was blown in by the gale - while holly blues are frequent visitors, this is only the second common blue we've seen in the garden in over twenty years.
