Another Wedding Anniversary...

People don't feature very often in my blip journal but when they do, you can be sure it's because they are pretty special.

This pic is of our best friends Agnes & Adrian and their daughter (and our wonderful God-daughter) Emily.

We have been friends for a VERY long time and if you would like a laugh, you can read how far we go back HERE.

It was A & A's Silver Wedding Anniverary (25 years! They can't believe it and neither can we!) on 1st August so both our anniversaries gave us a great excuse like we need an excuse!!! to get together and celebrate.

The day started well with lovely sunshine and D and I had lunch sitting in the garden. Ended up chatting to our new neighbours, Davie and Linda, over the garden wall. They are a lovely couple. Linda is a retired nurse and couldn't stress enough that if we need anything or any help with Alan, we've not to hesitate to knock their door.

The sun was still shining when A, A and E arrived so we returned to the garden and drank Kir Royales whilst having a laugh reminiscing and embarrassing Emily as much as possible! :-))

Portrait photography is not really my bag but I wanted to get some shots of A & A for the photo frame we bought them as part of their anniversary gift, as well as some family shots and shots of Emily on her own. Unfortunately we were enjoying the Kir Royales so much I forgot about this until after the sun had gone and the light was poor. And for some reason my camera seemed to have difficulty focussing

Still at least I managed to get some shots of Emily smiling she currently favours the teenage scowl / pout!

Before, during and after dinner we were glued to the Olympics. Good grief! What a night! Fantastic! We then rounded off the evening by looking at both our Wedding Albums and that's when the real laugh started!!!!

This is the first time they've stayed over since we moved house...it's fun building memories! :-)))
