Packaging
Having left the honey to filter through two metal sieves and settle down for 24 hours, did the bottling. 36 jars=18kg a bit of a mix honey but mainly the runny honeydew type which doesn't solidify so easily. This is the last of the honey in the year and important to get as much out of the hives as possible as it is not good as winter food, the bees getting diarrhoea form the very mineral strong honey and often dying out. Means we have to feed them up in late summer with a pure sugar paste or liquid.
Given the swarming I again suffered this year due to my being preoccupied with other things than bees, feel quite happy with the small amount - it's enough to keep the grandchildren and son J in supply.
