Nil By Mouth

Stopped eating before midnight, up at around 5:00 and walked on to the hospital ward at 7:00. and at 9:45 was wheeled down to theatre.

At 14:30 was given lunch and it tasted quite good in the circumstances. Luckily one of the nurses had a written a note not to send my lunch, which is normally served at 11:30, back to the kitchen.

Operation went .... well.... OK. They didn't find the stone and now agree that the one that came out a few days ago was the culprit but due probably to all the messing about with my pipeworks, there is some inflammation and they couldn't get up to the kidney and remove some of the smaller stones lingering there.

Today is Luna's 4th birthday and it was also planned that as in every year since 2013, her previous owners who live in Berlin would be visiting us for a day or two on their way south for the summer holidays. They had planned on arriving today but just like Tino's visit a few weeks ago, had to be cancelled. Great shame but hope we can still manage it perhaps in the autumn school holiday.
