Sognefjellet Road and Jotunheim Hills

It was a bit cloudy as we left the camping and after a brief trip to an impressive gorge we headed off to Lom. Amazingly this part of Norway has very low rainfall of 25 to 30 centimetres a year, and the crops have to be irrigated extensively. Previously, this was by a series of well constructed canals, but now is from the mains. Of course it was damp for us, and soon deteriorated to full on rain as we headed off along the Sognefjellet scenic highway. Amazingly it cleared up after a while and the views of the hills either side of the pass were really good. The blip is just after the high point looking back at where we had come from.
