Castles and waterfalls

P and A love the horses next to the cottage. We go to see them every morning once we are dressed and every night before bed. It's such a lovely treat for the children to get so close to them.

Today we went to visit Conwy Castle. It was great fun. We could all explore everywhere. Up the winding staircases to the top of the towers and along the castle walls. We saw the Kings bedroom and the prison tower. The views from the top were stunning. (I don't think we've been anywhere in Wales that hasn't been yet). The harbour was very inviting so as soon as we had finished in the castle we went down to have a closer look. Fish and chips whilst watching the fishing boats come and go was a perfect lunch time treat.

We then went back into the highlands on Snowdonia to see the waterfalls at Betws-y-Coed. They were amazing to see. It was so peaceful even with the roar of the water. I could have stayed there all afternoon, contemplating life, love and everything inbetween.

We had another water fight after tea this evening and a visit from the farmers dog who tried to get in our cottage!
