Vaguely Marvellous

Day 11: Perouges (with apologies to my French friends for the lack of accent, I can't work out how to do French characters on my computer!)

The weather was threatening to be a bit rubbish so we decided against hiring bicycles and went to Perouges, a medieval walled town. Utterly gorgeous, and not even too touristy. The sun came out as we were there, we had lunch and had a wander. On our way home we stopped by the river for a paddle and stone-skimming.

As we came home, another storm, more hail stones. Apparently the wine growers in this area are really struggling as the hailstones have ripped all the grapes off the vine.

(p.s. I will try and upload some better photos of Perouge to my blipfolio, but I liked this picture of us best of all the ones I took today. Not least because Marc looks so normal, he is standing downhill!)
