24 Minutes

The sky yesterday evening disappointed, it being cloaked entirely in cloud. This evening, the paucity of Perseid meteors before midnight and an eagerness for my bed led me to set up the camera on tripod and leave the exposure open for close to half an hour. It was surely a cert, but no. 

Some nice star trails, but not a meteor in sight. Not one!

Earlier in the day, the beach provided extra entertainment, which was nice, especially given that the temperatures soared into the high twenties.
