When evening falls........

Typical, by now, August day.  More work on the new terrace and windows in the morning, then picnic lunch (see extra pic).  There are a lot of tourists around at the moment, but it is funny how little you need to go "off piste" to escape the crowds.  Whilst Loubressac and Carennac were thronging, we drove up to a little picnic area that we know, high upon the ridge between the two villages, and found calm and solitude.  Earlier, "le Chat"  was found lounging on the back steps in the sun (see second extra pic).  She deigned to flicker one eye open for just a moment, but was otherwise disdainful of my attempts to take her photo.  We had dinner in the garden. It was hot and quite humid and there were rumbles of thunder rolling about in the distance.  As the sun finally went down the moon appeared clearly in the sky (main pic), but the storm stayed away.  It is much too calm, if only it would rain!
