No Vacancies

Just as well we're not expecting visitors to stay, as this is the state of the spare room!  Most of the contents of the bathroom and hall are in here along with several boxes of books from the study.

It's the hottest day of the year up here, so what do we do?  Strip, of course!  Fortunately for the neighbours, no naked flesh to be seen, but plenty of sweat as we got rid of the old wallpaper in my study.  The woodchip in the hall turned out to be a painted plaster finish and not paper, but I didn't realise that until after I'd tried steaming a large area.  I did wonder why there were no visible joins!  It will just get a fresh coat of paint once the ceiling is plastered, as it isn't worth the hassle of trying to remove it.
