The center of things

This large courgette flower was fully open this morning when I visited the allotment to dig up a few potatoes, pick some courgettes, beans etc and plant a few dahlias I had been given.  This courgette plant produces yellow fruit which look and taste very nice.  A very productive time of year.

Its been another very hot day so we left it until late evening before a stroll to the beach where the cooler air and turquoise sea were a delight to see.
